It was a bombshell of a shift in my 12 week personal program called CRUSHMODE, and it will forever be included as at least a strong suggestion in all of my future challenges.
AND IT CAN HELP YOU as quickly as tomorrow morning.
It will help you more if I explain how it happened.
So I was on a "walk and talk" on the phone with a client as I do everyday in the COVID Era with to get extra activity points do you know.
And part of what I do is to periodically have them take me through EXACTLY what they do...and where they go.... from the time their eyes open... the end of their MORNING ROUTINE.
It helps us to DIAL IT IN so to speak.
So I hear things like bathroom, and face wash, and brush teeth, and keto stick, and make coffee.
BUT....
On this particular call, let’s call her "Susan", said to me...
"I don't know what it is...but I feel scattered."
Now I know from doing this for 16 years that "scattered" is usually associated with "distraction", but she was doing her morning routine for a few weeks...WHY WOULD SHE....
And it hit me.
I asked...
"Are you checking your phone before you do your morning routine?"
She replied...
"Uhhhh yes....don't you?"
Me:
"What do you check?"
Her:
"You know....texts, news, Facebook."
And I right then I knew I had to amend my directions and my coaching to hold people accountable to not making this EXTREMELY CRITICAL MISTAKE.
I should know....because I did it too before it was explained to me like this...
An object in motion stays in motion until something stops it.
That goes for balls, cars, and signals from the brain.
If you immediately start your day all "Erratic and ADD style loading your head with FOMO, scarcity, and fear" you can expect that pattern to continue all day.
Whereas if you start your day with "focus and presence and gratitude" you can expect that to dominate the day.
And just as with the ERRATIC stuff the more you practice it the more powerful it becomes.
WE HAVE A CHOICE EVERY DAY.
I promise you if I asked 100 people if they want more joy and focus in their life...100 would say yes.
How many of those folks are willing to give up DR. DISTRACTO time in the morning for a mindset routine?
What would YOU do?
Take action on JOY and PRESENCE or wish and pine?
Now...let me be the first to say...because of the addictive nature of the phone...
(Okay....we all know it was purposely designed explicitly for the purpose of addiction if you listen to the Apple engineers who created it)
IT IS HARD.
DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE.

You have outside accountability from someone also interested in more JOY and PRESENCE.
So go find that accountability partner NOW.
